Rajnish Tiwari is a Research Associate at Institute of Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) at Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). Tiwari studied Business Administration at University of Hamburg in Germany, majoring in International Management and Business Informatics.

Currently pursuing a doctroal degree, Tiwari has held several responsible positions in private and public sector orginazations. His areas of specialization include:

• Globalization / Internationalization; offshoring of innovation, especially of research & development work

• International business development (focussed on innovative products and/or services) Internationalization strategies, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) Identifying and managing business opportunities in India

• Mobile Commerce, especially in the field of financial services ('Mobile Banking')

Tiwari was awarded the "Market and Customer Orientation 2006" prize by Vodafone Foundation for Research for his study of Mobile Banking, which has meanwhile been published in co-authorship with Dr. Stephan Buse by the Hamburg University Press.
